Karla & Bhaja Caves:
Karla
and Bhaja Caves, located in the hills at a distance of 11-km from Lonavala
are important places to visit. These rock-cave temples dating back to 2nd
century BC and are amongst the oldest and finest examples of Buddhist rock
cut temple
art in India, belonging to the Hinayana sect of Budhism. Adventure seekers
can try their hand at rock climbing at the Duke's Nose Peak and other locations
in the Karla hills, near Lonavala.
Lohagad
Fort:
It has some Spectacular entrance gates, a huge cave, which was used for storing
grain and a water tank. The Tunga Fort- surrounded by the Pavana Dam, this
fort also has a Mahadeo temple in the premises
Bhushi Dam:
Rainy
season gives a golden opportunity to the lovers of Bhushi Dam. With the arrival
of the season lots of group of fun lovers can be seen at the Bhushi Dam.
When the dam is full with the rain water, it starts overflowing .
At This place
where this extra water is collected is made with building staircase
like structure. Unfortunately even this place is not left aside by the tourist
having a wrong impressions and definitions of fun. So another place called
Sakhar Pathar is worth suggesting for real lovers of nature, which lies above
the dam.

Shivam Sundaram:
Satyam Shivam Sundaram is abeautiful man-made waterfalls with a surrounding
pool.
Kaivalya Dham Yoga Centre:
Situated on a picturesque hill near Valvan Lake, many visitors flock to this
institute, which imparts yoga education.
Bhairavnath Deva Sthan:
This place has a fascinating variety of thick forests,
deep valleys peacocoks and monkeys, speedy streams etc.
Tiger Point::
This
is view from Tiger point. No tiger here, its 5 km from Lonawala, from here
one can see this view. At a Distance its Seen as Nose- Duke's nose
